Hereditary Leiomyomatosis and Renal Cell Cancer

Hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer (HLRCC) is a disorder that makes people tend to develop benign tumors (leiomyomas) in the skin and, in females, the uterus. This condition also increases the risk of kidney cancer.

Features of the condition

  • Skin leiomyomas (benign smooth muscle tumors)
  • Uterine fibroids
  • Kidney cancer

Risk Factors

  • Multiple skin leiomyomas (confirmed with a biopsy from a dermatologist)
